Has anyone else watched this? "Such is the Real Nature of Horses" the DVD.
Not only stunning filming of wild Carmargue horses going about their daily livs in their natural habitat, but a poignant, thought provoking commentary on the vast divide between general human understanding and the real nature of the horse, between domestic management practices, and natural horse behaviour. I will watch this and listen again and again.

I have that book - never seen the DVD. Hahaha, I didn't know there was one! I've had this book for a long time - since the mid-1980's. Love it!

I have seen clips of this film on the site advertising it, and I would love to buy the DVD. In the trailor clips there is the most touching film of a mare in the water with her very young foal, she is in season and the stallion comes to mate with her, unfortunatly when the mare strikes out at him and his advances, the poor foal is caught by her leg and goes under the water.
Then, both the mare and the stallion completely forget what they were doing and both franticaly panic for the foal, then it is so amazing to see the mare and the stallion gently leading the young foal out of the water, just stunning, it brought tears to my eyes.
I think this is a must have film, it's beautiful.
