Often, when I let Caspian graze, or I am well ahead of him leading by the cordeo, the cordeo starts slipping around. Sometimes it falls off, other times I just get worried that he's going to step on it. Is there a way to keep it from slipping if I just, for example, wanted to let him stop and graze?

I thought about braiding a little circlet of mane at his withers and clipping the cordeo through it, but I don't know how well that would work.

Thoughts?

If you have a line on your cordeo, you can lay the line over his back so that the cordeo doesn´t slip down. That´s what I am doing with Titum´s lungeline and Summy´s leadrope and it works really well. :)

Rythm beads-cordeos (well, they're not really cordeos of course ;) ) have a little clipat the withers-end that you can easily clip around a strand of hair so that the cordeo stays up. I thought it was a nice idea, but braiding hair over it probably is even better because then it doesn't pull at only one strand of hair. :)

Aha! I hadn't thought of the line-over-the-back idea. Thanks!
