I'm not going to try to defend myself here because all i do everyday is make sure shes happy, comfortable and pain-free. I mostly ride her in one of Lou's treeless, i've ridden her bareback twice and not for very long to be honest.
She will also be seen by a Equine-Physio. I don't know when.

Like i say if i thought she was in pain or uncomfortable i would pull out all the stops to make her comfortable and sort it all out. She's not doing alot of fast work right now, after what you have taught me her bareback sessions will be short (even though they where already short) and not very often.
Again, thanks for the advice and opinion. :)

i ride sometimes also with nothing. Just to have a good feeling of how he uses his body, then you can feel everything. I do in only in walk for a short time between our at liberty playtime
So i had find out that he had some problems with his back which i could not see from the ground and did not feel during my riding on my barefoot saddle.

I had feel it and could find the exact place after the small ride. And fixed the problem, so he was happy again.
So i think riding with nothing can be very helpfull sometimes. And if you riding in a good balance and in harmony with your horse why is there a problem?
i am not totaly in balance hor compleet harmony with my horse in high speed so i don't do it :D in walk it is very fine and we both have no problem during such moments.

Yea, i agree with you on that one :) when i rode her last week bareback for a bit in the arena it really helped to get a feel of her back as she walks.. But then again in a bareback pad you can still feel movement, just not as much, i guess if you do it now and then for a short amount of time it could be benifical, while if you do all your schooling and faster work bareback it could get uncomfortable for both the horse and the rider if either is unbalenced.. But i think it can also be nice to just go for a walk with no tack, (or just in a halter) as it shows the horse you trust her. :)
