Post subject: | Improvement in Riding techniques |
I read phillips karls book twisted truth of moderns dressage and almost straight after i read the book, i applied the techniques my horse changed from a tense horse that resisted to this. My Horse can go around on a lose rein at canter with a relaxed head position and he goes the best with very light contact, but i am still learning to have light contact at one point i was just using my pinkie finger to hold the reins so that i wouldn't have hard hands which is a common habit i see and have been taught. I am very disappointed that no trainer i have ever had, told me that low hands go onto a horses tongue and that high hands touch the corners of the horses mouth. My horse dislikes being put into a frame with force and low hands, i reward my horse by lowering my hands. http://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q70 ... 19f6d7.png http://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q70 ... 3e7eec.png http://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q70 ... 3186fc.png |
