Right, here is my mob...
Geordie, the Gypsy stallion... (giving me a kiss!)

Star, the Aussie Draught...

The two yearling fillies, Tilly and Kiri...

Father Geordie and 2 week old son Corryong (Aboriginal for Bandicoot!)

Let's hope that works.

What a big legs your foal already has!

And his father is a real stunner. He seems to have quite a small head for a Gypsy, over here they're wellknown for their long noses.

We just keep getting more and more coldblooded horses over here. Nice!

:) I think Corry will be VERY chunky and taller than his dad!
The small head is what we are aiming for, along with the draught shaped body, heaps of feather, and of course fantastic temperament! Not TOO large either. Geordie is around 14.1hh.

Adie,

I'm going to have to come north just to visit your ponies, they are gorgeous. I'm sure you wouldn't miss Star if i brought him back home with me????

 Well I might! She (mare, dam to the colt) is the inspiration for our whole stud! I fell in love with the draught temperament and haven't looked back! The Gypsy cobs then grabbed me, and I doubt I'll ever recover!!!

Gudday again - I have 2 pics of my stallion playing (not with me, yet!) and am not really educated in what a horse in natural collection actually looks like - I've seen bucketloads of pics of horses 'pulled into a frame' and can recognise that from a mile away. Natural collection, on the other hand, is so rare here, I probably have only seen it in the paddock. Hence these pics of my boy. IS this what I am aiming for, when I play with a horse...

(sorry about the quality - it's from a video)
and this taken yesterday...

yep, very collected and wonderful, and you will find it while playing with your horses.

Owen does it now all the time, a bit to much ha ha !

:D I was a bit astounded when I saw the pic from yesterday - I couldn't believe how low he was in the hindquarters... It was beautiful and a revelation!

Thankyou!

if you make them feel pride while doing that, they keep doing it... (and then make them do something in a more calm way can become the problem, right Miriam?
 )

Oh, beautiful! The pride! The power! The second photo makes my heart beat faster! Oh my....I don't even know what to say. He dances....

Those photos have to make it into the AND encyclopedia or somewhere. What a GREAT example!

Is the Gyspy Cob the same as a Gypsy Vanner?

I'm a sucker for any dog with a beard (I have an Airedale) and any horse with feathers!

Me too!
:) Same thing exactly. The name 'vanner' was coined by a guy in America whom started a very successful marketing campaign. It's all rather come back to bite him on the a## now, though! The Romany call them cobs, so we do, too. The horses are better known in Europe as tinkers.

:D And the underpants on the washing line are SUCH an nice touch... ! I should white them out, but I wouldn't want anyone to think I had 'doctored' the photo at all!
