Zephyr and Inge, he's a bit difficult but I love him anyway :D Now that he is here I can work on all his strange little behaviours and see if I can make a difference in his life. Freckles is SO happy that Laska is here again. :D

My pony's here! My pony's here! My pony's here! :D

This is Rocket. He's 25 years old and is a "been there, done that" pony. He is close to 14hh high, and has helped 3 children get their National Colours in horse-related sports.

What a sweetie, Glen! And it looks like he's already made himself right at home... tucking into that hay with the others!

oh wow, wow, wow, I bet you're so excited! How many times in the last hour have you run to the winow to sneak just another peek? :funny:

It looks as if the other two are welcoming him into to fold, so to speak. And he is being very polite abou it too - look at that body 8) language . What a darling. Give him a huge cuddle from me. He doesn't know how lucky he is landing with you both. :D

:funny: Shannan, he's exhausted and nervous. A new place, two rambunctious BIG young horses bouncing around him, strange people ...

Heather, he hasn't really settled. There was no aggression at all, though. He was very hungry. Laska is being a bit pushy with him, but I believe Rocket has always been a dominant pony, so I think Laska's in for a shock after the little feller gets some rest.

Barbara, he is indeed cute. He's a lot stand-offish though. I haven't been able to touch him yet, and he won't eat from my hand but he will eat if I put stuff down for him. He did his last show in October, apparently, and it was too much for him. He was so tired when it was over. :D He needs a very light "work" schedule now, and a lot of time to just be a pony.

My two were bucking and displaying, and cantering circles around him while he was saying "leave me alone or I'll kick you." :D He seems to be a very calm chap, though.

A wise pony by his look. A knowledge in his eyes of how things work. He'll know very soon what he's gotten himself into methinks.

Rest and play, kindness and joy. How fitting for an old timer who has worked likely so very hard.

I'll bet soon he will give up his distancing and become a love pest wanting all the attention, petting, grooming, etc. he can get.

I am soooo happy for you. Ca't wait to start reading about your adventures together. Take it slow and it will come. but you know that already

There will no doubt come a little aggression between them when they have figured out who is who and all gotten over the shock a little. It took my two about 3 months to totaly settle in, both with the other horses here and getting used to having me around. Poor chap has probably been swaped around to so many different homes in his past that he is bound to be somewhat standoffish. He does look like a darling though.
