When Ania told me about this forum I was very curious about it. I like the idea of dressage and Haute Ecole being something that is for the horse not against it. Unfortunately it can bee seen so rarely. Nevertheless it is of undescribable fun to work with a horse that enjoys the training and looks forward to his daily exercises. And it’s always a wonderful feeling when you can watch them grow physically and mentally.

I own a 11 year old Arabian gelding called Malcolm who has benefitted very much from the work in hand and who developed from a weak, calm and introverted young horse to a proud and self-confident school-horse. I'm very proud of him and the huge progress he made during the last years.

I’m looking forward to some interesting discussions with you!

HI PAMELA!

I had emailed you a couple of times after I had found you on the NHE site.

I am so glad you are here. Your care and concern for your horses is so clear in your website (and your posting on NHE), and I really appreciated the encouragement you gave me with Cisco.

It looks like Malcolm already understands the idea of collecting bitless very well! What kind of bridle do you use exactly? And what is the address of your website? I'd love to see more of you and your horse. :D

Dear all,

thank you for the warm welcome! :D

@Miriam: The bitless bridle that can be seen on the picture above is a French Cavesson. I use it for lunging, work in hand and for riding as well. I like it a lot as its effectiveness is very precise and allows you to support the horse in any direction you like.

The website that was mantioned is actually my husband's site. Nevertheless it expresses my philosophy as well. :D

That's my husband with his former Lipizzan "Mustang". They were a fantastic team and watching them working and playing together has changed my life. Although I know that I will never reach his special ability to teach horses I try to learn as much as I can and improve steadily for the sake of my horse.

In the beginning it was pretty difficult for me to support my horse within collection as the aids have to be very precise and the horses get more demanding the higher their level of education is. :? It was some kind of developing process for me that I had to manage and in the meantime I'm feeling much more self-confident during the difficult exercises. :D
