Post subject:  Hi!

My name is Alenka, I m 21 and I have a horse, Slovenian warmblood, Filip, he is 9. Can I write he and not it for a horse?
Alex suggested me to visit this forum. After skimming it I found that this is really THE forum for me.
Only 4 months ago my horse was shod and I was using a bit. Now, thanks to my ex farrier and Alex, I ride with Dr. Cooks and Filip is barefoot.
I discovered a world apart, with no violence, I understand now how little force is necessary to control a horse.
I m trying to learn from Filip/my Teacher, the most patient creature that I m in touch with/and he is helping me a lot, giving me every day a new opportunity.
I must revise my English...but I understant almost 99% of everything writtent here.
:) :)

Hello Alenka!!!

You write english just fine, so it is no wonder you can understand what is written as well. It always amazes me how many people there are in the world can speak/read/write more than one language. I feel I have really missed out on something in my life because english is my one and only language. :(

I am really looking forward to hearing more about yourself and Filip!

Welcome!

Yes, I know :D

I learned quite a bit of spanish when I was very young, but if you don't use it, you lose it! I had no where to use it. :(

Thanks for your support.
Tomorrow I m going in Laussanne for 14 days...and I m already missing Filip.
This evning I groomed him, gave him a big hug, than I yust lied down in his box, while he was eating. I felt asleep for 1 hour.
I think that Chopin is so small when I compare him with sound that horse makes when eating.
Boy I m yust so in love with my horse.

Enjoy every second with your horses!

We didn't answer your very first question!

Yes, "he" for a horse is much nicer that "it".

I never use it for an animal, always he or she.

It is by human law that an animal is no more then an object, hence it is named as such in our official language.

Of course this is all about money... about being able to keep going with bio-industry, animal testing, bull fights, horse abuse etc etc.

So from henceforth I declare within AND 'law' 'it' forbidden to refer to any animal :)
