Today I listen to my own feel and my mum listen to me :)

My old dog Birie (she wil be 13 at the 16 august) was very changed it seemed she had a lot of pain
But I didn't know what was wrong, but something was wrong ...

I'm very happy we were go to the vet.
She has a hernia at her spine, this makes her lift hind leg is paralyzed in the 2nd grade...

It explains her falling and equilibrium problem...

Now, she must be calm, don't jump (but she can't jump) and now life with her broter, not more with the other to young dogs (they are to wild and play full).

And living with painkillers...

Is here someone, who got experience with naturol or homeopathic pain killers with kronische pain.
I hope and want to find something good for her but what makes here life not so painful.

Birie is very happy, she looks 3 year younger. :applause:
The painkiller works very good. (but I'm looking for something else)
The lost time she didn't pulls, I thought she didn't pulls she lissend to me.
Because it was painful.
But now she pulls on the line, that is bad for her back.

I start again with train her as I did 2 years ago. And as I do now whit Spikkel and Spot.
But slowly...

I'm so happy, that she is happy now and she loves her live. :f: :f: :f:

I think she knows the painkiller works, she eat them without something else, but after the painkiller she gets some food. Otherwise it make her stomach ill and must she vomit.
The painkiller works but make her tired.
Normal we make a walk of 20 à 30 min with run and play.
But after 15 min walk, was she quiet and walked with her tail between her legs.

Thank you Inge

My homeopath vet said someting but it costs a lot.
(I go looking for the name)
I think to switch at the 14 days, with the painkiller who she gets now and the homeopatic.
But I go first ask it at my homeo. vet, if she think it is a good idea...

Our eldest dog Xinshu, (12yr on May 30th) also had a hernia for several years.
Our vet is classic trained but also homeopath and kinesiologist, so she can test which product works best for him.

I remember he got a product twice now that she injected 1/2 of the ampoule and he had to get the rest in his mouth a few weeks later, but I just cannot remember the product  I will have to ask her next time I go (in about 10 days from now).
It is the only injection that he does not cry about... he is extremely sensitive and usually screams hard enough for the whole neighbourhood when he gets another shot. But this one is something very 'clean' and does not hurt at all.

But recently we started to give our dogs and cat raw meaty bones. This was after Josepha started a topic on it and I wanted to give it a chance.
I must say that since than his hair got much more soft, but more important: he is becoming less sensitive and he looks much younger too! I have not heard him complain about his back anymore!
Must say that he gets lots of bones and eats raw chicken meat with the bones or raw fish almost everyday.

Maybe you should read the topic and give it a try also?

I will let you know about the product later.
Success!

Hi Inge,

I seek to find a acupunturist for animals but is far away, normaly my dad going to ask (if he remembers) at us acupunturist if he knows it can help.

Hi AMA,

Realy thank you, I called our homeopath vet (she works also with a pendulum and is now studying some ostheopatie (I think)).
She said also someting about a injection, we must give it in tableds (she life 1h30 driving of us).

But I'll call her for us cows to cheque them (their are is still something wrong, so i hope she can find it, us farm vet didn't know what it can be)....
So can she also look to Birie

I forget something.
We give also meat to us dogs but my mum her think is very strange and difficult to understand.
We don't buy meat of the mass industry (I eat no animal products of the mass industry) only products of animals who got a good life and are local.

So I don't go buy meat for the dogs and cats of the mass industry.
But the local pruduct are very good so they don't have many surplus.

I have a moment ago taken some meat of the freezer, but my parents aren't home. :D

Hello again,

The product which is very good for hernia is 'discus compositum'.
It is a very pure product and does not hurt when injected... I speak of experience: our Xinshu is extremely sensitive and usually he screams like being slaughtered when he even only sees the needle. With this product he did not give a crimp!

Good luck!

Thank you AnneMarie,

It was about 'discus compositum' that us homeopatic vet said

But my mum says there is nothing wrong wiht the cows
So the vet can't come to here.
And Birie didn't love the long time in the car...
But now must I ask my mum whether she will to drive the vet.

I hate this things....

I can understand your mother... vets don't come cheap.
Maybe give your vet a call and you can go and pick it up yourself?
It does not to be an injection as such, you can also give the product in the mouth - you could do that yourself.
Than you would not need to pay a full visit?

Success!

I'm so sorry. I was not with one of my last dogs when he died and it hurt me so much. It was about 9 years ago and I can still cry about it.

I am sending all the healing good thoughts I possibly can. :f:

Oh Bloem, I feel so sorry for you!

Just think of all the good times you had together, that will ease the pain a little.
Big hug,
:pet:
