hmm i forgot to say there are some pics somewere over here how to stretch a horse with a carrot
they give you an idea what i meant. It is a "stand still" movement after that you can walk again.

I'm trying to get her into the back crunch, but her front and hindlegs are inseparable so it seems. She moves her front leg I reward but while rewarding she swiftly adds her hindleg, and so on. I thought I gave it a rest for now, maybe she'll think about it overnight. And yes she did, the next day she got into the roundpen the first thing she did was stand in front of me and put only her front legs a bit forward. You should have seen her face or maybe I'm the only one who saw a attitude like "yeah, Okay, so I'm not stupid I now know what you mean I wanted to show you, but I never want to do it again". Maybe it was just me seeing that, but in about a couple of weeks I'll try again, guess I just overasked her, hope she still remembers her moment of enlightenment by then.

Practise tomorrow! Maybe our riding arena isn't as bad as it used to be now it has rained a bit, so maybe we're gonna do some fun in the riding arena, otherwise I can't resist myself and go skating with her :)

So new pictures of riding with only a cordeo in the pasture... Something really new for me and Ruphina... I used to do it with my former horse but with Ruphina I don't know... it's just different ?

so I was all like "Ieks" and she was like "wiieieieie run!" great combination

We had fun, I see me smiling in the pictures and Ruphina happy.
Didn't do much though... we were both not in top condition so we should get started when her shoes are finally off (or redone  hae nothing to say in that matter)

well third video already....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEGsBipwYEk

I'm better at liberty or with aa cordeo then on line. I found it way to easy to force her to do stuff...
But since there was no other choice (there was no fence line and after the 'chase the tiger' without a line a got a 'talk' with the owner of the stables that we're still not allowed to have our horses free around us, no matter how well they behave
So next time when the fence line is not 'open' we'll do it cordeo or free again, is way better for me :P

Well the best thing about this is that she voluntarily wanted to chase the tiger (that's new and second time we did that... or third maybe) and really loves the back crunch and really gets the hang of it now (I think)...

so another video...
you can see clearly how stif her right hindleg is... she has trouble putting more weight on it (for example in a curve)... so I could use any good advice for training that.. preferably something before the 'stepping under'... just for her to use it more sportively so to speak :P
