Thank you Karen and Visebre
As always, it was Owen's idea. I saw him doing jambette against the ball and then walking after it and I thought: hey!
Wait a minute! ha ha ! Duh, why couldn't I think of that?
Because we are working on this he is getting so loose and balanced! it is such a great Gymnasium exercise.
@Miriam, thank you! I can't tell you what a relieve it is to finally feel safe enough around him. I know he would not want to hurt me in a million years. But he always got so excited and had no control over himself. I have been rewarding for a year for just standing, waiting and taking distance! Now finally he has self control and patience.
And one of his own findings is turning away from me so he can retain himself again. Because he is so extremely intelligent and used to bossing everybody around, he is the most difficult horse for me to work with somehow. But I enjoy it the most
He seems always so interested in what I am thinking or feeling. I never experienced that with any one else before.
Also Romy showed us how we got each other worked up. It is crazy and I do not have that problem with any other horse. With other horses I simply adjust the energy level to what is needed. But with O somehow, we got each other so worked up. Now, if I feel his energy levels rise, I do not go a long with it but meditate on slow breathing. It helps so much. Sometimes he even starts breathing loud and long too ha ha !
Make it a carrot cake for O, he likes carrots the most
