What would be a better opportunity to open a picture thread for Mucki than when he had just learned a new trick? Last Friday we had a breakthrough in so many things, among others I could lead Mucki very gentle into the Compliment (one legged bow). We tried this many times before with many preparational exercises, but until now he was not really sure what I wanted from him. Then, last Friday, after a wonderfully connected session of liberty games he let me lead his leg down until finally he got my meaning and finished the bow himself.
Yesterday we tried it again - this time he already knew the exercise and did it almost on cue. I was better prepared with two slices of apples in my hand so I could reward him then and there and so he stayed down a bit, even bent his head to the ground as a bonus. He was utterly sweet!!!
Here are some pics of the progress and one of the bow - unfortunately only from the front, so I couldn´t see if his posture was healthy, but it felt so...
Afterwards, we were both VERY proud of each other - as you can see in the last image ;)

Great pictures, you two are such a cool couple! :) I especially like the third to last picture - this look on Mucki's face is just priceless. :green: :f:

Hihi - thank you Romy! I really think we look more and more alike with each day .
And Mucki smiles with his eyes so much lately - I really love that - then I smile too and everything is alright...

It seems spring time is flying time! Anna & me also did some jumping with Lily & Mucki yesterday. It was quite hot and I didn´t expect Mucki to be very active. He wasn´t actually fond of trotting beside me, but he liked to jump! It was very much fun and we even managed to get some action shots :).
The only problem I had with Mucki was that he always wanted to follow me, instead of running beside me. I have to work on that.
So when I tried once to jump at the edge of the jump to slowly fade myself out of the jumping process, he did this:

But finally we did it!!! :applause:

Anna also had some fun with Lily:

Ha ha ha ....that's so funny! Morgan does exactly the same thing. They are just really smart I figure!!! If I ask Morgan to walk across some tarpaulin, he will reverse and go around it, with tyres and jumps he does the same thing.....the least amount of effort required....or he will watch me jump it, trot to the jump and then stand and look cute from the other side, or offer a jambette on the jump. :funny: :funny: He knows perfectly well what I want him to do, but chooses just not to. ;)

Awww I love the jumping pics! Hehe... Diego has ducked out on many a jump like that with me on him or following me over it, kinda like "Meh I'll just.. jump the side over here. Okay not really..." :funny:
You guys look like you're having so much fun. :f:

In our Easter holidays we finally managed to climb the "Peilstein". One could call it a mountain, but coming from an alpine country I´d rather call it a hill. Nevertheless it was one of our long term goals from day one and now we can officially carve that notch into our walking sticks. It´s a very nice walk of 2,5 hours up and 2 hours back down with a lot of altitude to cover, so we and our equine friends got quite some workout. The horses liked it a lot.

Just some pics of the start of summer season. Now the horses are finally allowed on the fresh grass for a short time each day, until they can stay out on the pastures 24/7! :f:
That´s our old orchard, a very kitschy place, at least until a lot of busy little hooves have trampled it all into a nice mudslide ;).

Dandelions! They adore the dandelions! :f: When we lead them back from the pasture, they have yellow lipstick and yellow socks :funny:.
But all the grass smells so lovely right now - almost enough to become a herbivore right away!
