Your photos are soooo amazing, just like the ones you posted last time! Hercules is my favourite - what a gorgeous horse! Looks like a great personality and he also reminds me of Josepha's Don Jamie.

Great that you have started a picture thread, I hope to see much more of them.

Wonderful pictures. I had a toy horse once, that looked just like Hercules. ^^

Wow! Just discovered your posting - absolutely stunning photos! Especially the ones after the rain. The sand, the colours and your wonderful expressive horses!
Thank you...

Volker

Thank you keren and inge and Volker and bloem.

it never snows here in winter, but it usually gets relatively rainy and cold by this time of the year, this year though, until now, it has been dry and warm, so last weekend was quite an excitement – the forecast was 3 days of real storm with lots of wind and rain, so when it all started all of us horses, humans cats and dogs were quite excited and happy, on the second day the horses lost their playfulness and became more grim, concentrating on getting warm.

Right now it´s hard to imagine a winter like yours. Only yesterday I was walking with my horse over our pastures. He was working hard, since the snow reached up to his belly at times :) But I think it´s always very interesting how horses react to the weather. How they feel the rain or gusts of wind coming long before we do. How they stick together and sit out the bad weather. Or they keep moving only stopping shortly to graze if the wind & rain is too cold and they cannot find shelter from it.
I wonder, our horses here in Austria seem to like temperatures from 15°C down to 5°C best, with winter fur the range is even lower. Your horses surely have quite different temperatures which they prefer? Were they born in Israel?

Volker.
