Thanks, everyone.

8) Neither of them used to move like this - they were always in horizontal mode with extended necks before, especially Lasla because he could not swing his rib-cage at all. Freckles is "framing" himself more and more these days.

:funny: Now, if I could just get some of that frame under saddle ... ;)

Suzie, Gem actually operated the camera. She got some fantastic pics and video.

This is what you get from exercising the most important muscle of the horse: the ego :green:

And this is probably the whole punch line of AND... I realise it more and more...

oh Frekkie... I am so drooling all over your machoness 8)

Well done Glen, well done!!

Thank you. He is a very expressive boy, isn't he?

Josepha, he is so very different from the insecure, unsure, nervous little baby boy you met. He's still VERY sensitive, but has much more confidence and "self-esteem" now, and he's not afraid to let it show. :funny:

Wow, what a change! :)

You have done such a wonderful job, Glen! I couldn'd be more impressed if you were showing us 500 fancy exercises that he has learned since you got him. :funny:
For me, what those pictures are showing is the ultimate indication of a successful interaction with horses. Bravo!!

Apparently I missed this over the weekend...

SQUEE :D Freckles is so cuuuute! I love his expression in the headshot of him lunging. He's looking at you like "Oh yeah, look at me, I'm so hot & talented..."

Laska is looking nice as well, but Freckles really does make everyone smile, happy boys showing off.
Was Shatzi suffieciently impressed with their efforts, I'm guessing nowhere near as impressed as we humans! xx

In the last 3 months I have got Laska to where he can reliably join on our outrides.
He only occasionally bolts for home , and always first tries to make us turn around before he does. So now I listen to him about turning around and he is gaining confidence. Today was the farthest he went from home before demanding we turn back.

They often put themselves into this line - Rocket in front, then Laska, then Santa.
:funny: If Laska is very uncertain he will push Rocket's flanks and send him forward first.

 When Laska knows where he is then he goes off exploring
Image

and he wears the harness now with no problems
Image

and apparently you can roll in a harness ...

no matter where you are

Zephyr, do you still remember how stressed out and uptight Laska was? I could never have imagined taking him out loose like this - it's all AND that did it. :f: Perhaps there's still hope about riding him one day :funny:

So, Annette, when do you arrive here with Morgan? I think it's time you took that holiday you keep talking about.
The groom does look comfortable there, doesn't he? I only taught him to ride 3 months ago :D and so far he has only ever ridden Rocket.
