Hi everyone! :)
My name is Andreja and I am 19. Horses are love of my life since I was born. When we went on family trips, I remember looking out from the car window and hoping to see horses. At that time, just to see a horse made my day. Later my sister, cousin and I were attending horse camps during summer vacations, and finally, four years ago we got our own horses. My is an 8 year old gelding whose name is Zeljko.

At first Zeljko and me had problems when riding because sometimes I wasn’t able to stop him and he refused to go on outride when there were no other horses. The other thing is, he is very sensitive about his personal space. If you go directly into his space or if you jump around him, he puts his ears back, swishes the tail and sometimes wants to bite you.
Slowly, after the first three years, the relationship owner – horse started to change into a partnership. PNH helped me a lot with this, especially to understand horse psychology.
Then my dreams start to come true: he runs with me at liberty in pasture without fence, we go to outride with no bit and without fear of how to stop him, his focus is on me and not on everything else… He became a horse I ever dreamed of.

I was looking for something like AND because I wanted to learn how to teach collection and how to reach it without a bit. I saved this website a long time ago on my computer but never used it because I was concerned about clicker training, therefore food rewards. This is because I have been already teaching Zeljko some tricks when I got him. He was consistently putting his ears back and I was a little bit afraid of it so I stopped doing that. But now I decided that it is time to try again and it is great! He doesn’t put ears back so much anymore and he isn’t rude while giving him treats. :)

Hi and welcome!!!

That last picture is sooo cute. All in a row watching what is happening. They all look so happy.

Looking forward to hearing and seeing more.
Best
Annette

Very welcome from me too!

Don't worry about the English: just add more pictures as they often say more than 1000 words...
And we love to see pictures!

It seems you have been doing very well with Zeljko already.
I am sure you will find even more ideas and help to continue on this nice path!

Lots of success!

Andreja, I love the picture of the skiing!

It gives me a good idea about what we can do in winter when we have moved to Italy in the Appennine mountains.
Thank you for sharing this!
