I have taught my horses to move from my body cue when riding, again from Parelli, examples:to back I tilt my hip back and move my legs slightly forward, when I want to stop I stop riding and exhale my breath.
Are body cues ever taught in AND program?

I one day would like to ride with nothing on my horse, not even a cordeo.

Hi Corinne!

There are a number of conversations that work some ideas about body cues...

Here are a few to get you started! ;)

Josepha has some great directions here, in a discussion about her 5 Steps for Natural Academic Riding Art:

Here's one on leg placement/pelvis and body cues:

And here's a great one on Centered Riding:

Here's one on using your body/weight as a cue for the halt:

And there are some great ideas, approaches, nuggets of wonderful information tucked in various people's diaries -- the first one that's occuring to me is Sue's (windhorsesue):

And I'm with you on that totally naked dream! :)

Best,
Leigh

Thanks Leigh, that was great information. There is so much on this site it is hard to get to it all, so the links make it so much easier. :D
