my horse get quite bolshie and panicky when I bring treats in to the equation so I tend to leave them out , but should I persevere and use treats ??

Ali, can you check out the threads about foodrewards in the Links to threads first? There is info on why to use treats, when to use them, how to use them, the feasibility of other rewards but food, and so on. I think it's easier if you look there first and then post any additional questions directly in these threads, if something remains unclear. Thanks! :smile:
