Last year I purchased the complete Luraschi video and book set. It is in PAL format and the book is in French.
I opened the box, but I couldn't play the video because I am in the US, different format here.

That was LAST year and my learning has changed, so if anyone should want to purchase these from me for the information perhaps there is theory that can be used without introduction of the bit or the other harsh items he uses.

Julie

Hi Julie,

I have them too and could see the video, but mine wasn't really good either and was only in blacky&white. A bit strange, but I could still watch it. And I must say that by the time I saw the video's I already had become so weak-hearted that I wasn't really keen on seeing them again, so I can imagine why you would want to sell them. you can learn a lot from them on how trickhorses are trained and what the traditional methods of tricktraining and breaking in horses are, and you see marvellous exercises, but the learning processes that are used aren't really that positive.

So I'm afraid I have them already, but if I hadn't, I would be quite interested as Lurashi is a world-famous haute-ecole and stunttrainer, and als because he has been one of the main teachers of Alexander Nevzorov.

I used to have : Natural horse Riding - K.F. Hempfling , but then someone borrowed it and I never got it back, that person moved without telling me. Is it worth buying again or should I better buy something else?

I know what I'll do, I'll go shopping for a day at Josepha's shop :) go straight to the source ;)

I wish I knew who she was! It would be very interesting to see if she has a website, where she has learned to ride like this and what methods she uses.

Now I come to think of it - isn't she Karen Rohlf, the dressage rider who went to Parelli?

Does anyone know this book?

Getting to Yes - Sharon Foley
This expertly written book combines principles from clicker training with traditional horsemanship and classical dressage to improve handling and performance. Step-by-step clicker training basics are presented in easy-to-follow lessons with numerous instructional photographs that will benefit both the novice and more advanced rider in enhancing practical skills, timing, ground manners, and riding. Training and handling problems are broken down into hands-on, trainable exercises to correct behavior and riding issues with lasting results.

I know some were mentioned but does anyone have any suggestions for really good books on biomechanics and locomotion???

I'm thinking of getting something by Dr Hilary Clayton, but she has enough articles online, I'll probably just start there--- FREE IS GOOD!!!

Bianca, I haven't read the book, but Sharon Foley is on the clickryder list and I always enjoy her input on things. Not much help, huh?

I am reading this book right now and I think it is worse to mention as well.

Charles de Knuffy
Training strategies for Dressage Riders.

Quote:
Charles de Knuffy
Members of the Dressage Community have begun to notice different tendencies in Dressage, tendencies that seems to conflict with each other.Dressage as an art seems to conflict with dressage as a technique.Taking time to develop a horse seems to conflict with the urge to produce quickly whatever will suffice in a race to meet competition dates and obligations successfully. Elegant competitors with artistic appeal seem to contrast with mechanically obedient, submissive, and boring ones. Slowly progressing idealists seem to contradict the hurried results of competitive practitioners. And all this happens in the name of dressage.
