Is your portuguesa saddle fitted to Romeo? Does it have a tree or is it straw stuffed and more like "one size fits all...eventually"... :D

I would still like to get a similar saddle for Tamarack, but I will have no chance to get someone to fit it...so I am wondering if they need to be fitted like a dressage saddle?

Hi Karen,

my portuguesa is not fitted to Romeo! The saddle have a tree and you can buy the saddles in 3 sizes - small - middle - and large

small - for horses with a high withers (Widerrist?)
middle - for normaly withers
large - for horses like Romeo - he has a very round back with few withers

I buy the saddle by ebay in germany - and the saddle is perfect for Romeo. The saddle is short enough for him (50cm)

I pay just 100 Euro for Romeo´s saddle
