Not really AND, but it looks like I will be getting a clinician spot at the PA Horse Expo! I'm very excited as it is quite difficult for locals to get in.

Oh, congratulations, Danee! Very cool!

Am looking forward to hearing more about it, and what you teach in the clinic.

She's famous, folks! :-)

Splendid. And good luck! When is the Expo?

Best,
Leigh

Yup! I am definitly in!!!!! February 26- March 1, 2009.

I gave them a list of topics and they have yet to tell me which they choose or if I should choose. Possible topics are rider biomechanics, starting lateral work (audience can try the alignments right from their seat!), breaking large tasks into small ones (I'll demonstrate a few and ask audience for problems they would like to see broken into smaller peices), ground work, and for lectures I have defining/recognizing collection, rider confidence (that is always a good one), and a simple Q & A.

I also am working on a DVD on Rider Body Awareness. The resolution is not going to be very good, but my overhead producing will be low and I am REALLY happy with the content so far. It will cover the many ways a rider can use their pelvis (walk different than canter, pleasure jog different than warmblood extended trot, and all the in betweens!), torso alignment, and weight aids. Although I am not going into bridle-less riding directly, I will let it be known that the exercises in the DVD show the rider how to do transitions, steer, and bend all by weight aids that do not require reins. This DVD is strictly on the rider, but I plan to follow up in the future with a 'sequal' that will concentrate on how to encourage the horse to use good body mechanics. Again, it will not be a 'bridle-less' DVD but I will certainly use a hackamore at times to show it is possible, and some of the DVD will be on ground work and I'm sure I'll show some of that at liberty (since I can. :D ) So I will definitly be showing a no force alternative to the competition style dressage we see so often.

I am so darn excited it should be illegal :alien:

If anyone has ideas for our booth I would like to hear them. It looks like we are getting electric so we can play a promo video in the booth. I' think we will have sections with short clips strung together for a more dramatic effect, but also play some longer undited clips.

Someone suggested lighting- I'm not sure if we should do obviuos lighting (like whilte x-mas style lights zig zaged across the top) or somthing more subtle (like pan lights spotlighting our DVD or brochures or whatever.) Pan lights get hot though. I think I'm leaning towards rope lights, but not totally sure where to put them.

Also, I am probaby going to have shirts made up. I can't decide on style. I personally don't wear boxy T shirts. I like somthing more fitting, but not everyone shared my veiw. Than I was thinking maybe fitted in small a d medium and plain box style for large and X large, but I don't want to seem biased either. I wanted to have our logo in black somewhat large across the front with our name written smalliesh below the logo. For colors I don't want too many options tso I thought, tan, soft green, and peach. (not wild colors but not prime colors either). Any thoughts on any of this???

Oh, and here is the logo...
