I am thinking about getting one of these two bridles. Which one do you think is best, or do you have any other sugestions for bitless bridles less than $100? I do not like Dr. Cook's BB.

TrailBlazer Sidepull
The Trail Blazer Sidepull has a unique one piece poll/throatlatch design that keeps the throatlatch in place so the snaps and buckles don't work their way down during the ride. Noseband is a little extra long to keep cheek peices out of the eyes of the horse. Bit attatchments are included so it can be used like a halter/bridle when your horse needs that little extra control and has a tie ring so it is safe to tie with on the trail. Shown in gloss black biothane with red overlay.

Side-pull Halter-headstall
Tis is our most versatile halter-headstall combination ever! Side-pull rings attached to the caveson allow for true turn control without the use of a bit. Headstall comes with bit attachments for cases when a bit is needed, or for quick changes when using this set-up on more than one horse. Overlay is available on browband and noseband. Reins sold separately.

Hi

I must say I like the second one more. And then just in colour and design. I do not like this red colour so much but that is my opinion. The second one just looks really good, and good for use. Too bad it doesn't come with reins.

hhmm you must look to the quality and how they are over a few years. I know that there are some plastics who become longer during some months. A friend of mine bought a headstal like that and after 6 months the headstall has "grown" and did not fit good anymore. I think due to the sunlight.
So look out before you buy...
does it fit well?
quality of material
and how it is made..do not know the english word, but the places where they stick things together. It have to be strong enough.
i hope you understand me :-)

Tlove, I do not like the red color either, but you can get the same exact bridle in black beta biothane (the same material that Dr. Cook's BB is made out of) and that is what I would get if I decided on the first one.
Do you still think the 2nd one is better? I can't tell which design would be better for Blade. What kind of bitless bridle do you use?

@Inge, Yes, I understand you perfectly. :) Thanks for the advice.

The material looks quite uncomfortable to me. I would prefer a thicker noseband, this noseband is so small that with little pressure it can already "cut" in the nose of the horse.

Aren't there sidepulls with a bigger noseband?

Thanks Els,
I actually have found one that I like better, what do you think of this one?

Manufactured from supple 4.5mm leather, with padded noseband and stainless steel buckles.

(I see what you mean about the noseband being too small, I don't know if there are sidepulls with a bigger noseband, but I can pad this noseband if it's too harsh)

Hey,
I found one with a large padded noseband, you can get it padded with neoprene(which I do not want), opencell foam, or sheepskin. I think this one might be the best, it can be used like a sidepull or a BB.
