I can't really say much about it, I know my instructor sells something that looks like it as cavessons and she is happy with it, but because I never tried it I cannot say whether I agree...
So not much help here.

i have tryed it once to know the bridle how it works etc.
The cross under doesn't really works well because the rings at each side of the nose are to high so the crossunder have to make a huge bow and that works not fine.
And my horse gave very clear signals that he did not like it at all.
The sidepull way which you can do also with this bridle was fine. The horses reactions were okay.
Did not tryed the bit version because i don't ride with a bit.
