I believe it was the Fhoenix, is made with memory foam. I've only used memory foam for dog bedding for arthritic animals and that type wore very thin in just a couple of years, makes me wonder how long even the more expensive types will last without compressing significantly.

Just had to throw this out there - as far as memory foam. I'm not familiar with the dog bed things BUT my parents paid a zillion dollars back in the day when those memory foam pillows were first coming out. Now it's my pillow (they got more) Still going strong and they bought a memory foam mattress topper several years ago. Still feels like it did the day though bought it. The memory foam in my Skito bareback pad seems to be the same type and will probably hold up for many years. I haven't heard many complaints about the Skito pads breaking down or compressing. Hopefully the saddles are made of the same high quality foam.
