My 2,5 yrs old, 15,3h filly Yippie is enjoying a freezing wintersday out in the field.

She is really coming into adulthood.. she takes after her friesian mom but her head looks just like her andalusian father.

She sure is growing up fast, i'll be taking her home in a month or two, and start doing some playing with her. She is begging for attention and makes her breeder go nuts :P So i'll be happy to entertain her here. 8)

Very beautiful! Here the weather is the same, but we have no snow :( so now with the sun I'm afraid that even the hoarfrost will melt. No hope for soft ground!

Nice pictures! She does have the body of a Friesian, but is also a bit more compact in the back than the Friesian, so I guess that's the Andalusian DNA kicking in. 8)

@ Ania, don't worry, over here the snow is now gone again too. But I'm actually quite happy with the sun and the melting process, as the paddock was really muddy when it froze over night, leaving the surface really uneven and bumpy. The pony's can just walk over it, trotting is impossible. If the ground thaws again, then they get the chance to push down all the muddy ridges and create a nice flat surface - which then of course can freeze again. So I'm all for sur! Warmth! Tropical temperatures! 8)

Wonderful pictures!
And they are wonderfully shot. Nice contrast with the dark horse and the white long grass.
