What a beauty! He has exactly the colour I love, very sunny. What is his breed, and how high is he? He looks like perfectly the right size for you, still being able to look over his back. |

it's a quarter horse, although I always wanted a dressage horse, I fell in love with him  he's great!
he's 1.50m still needs to grow 2 cm I think I can still jump on him so that's perfect

hihi, it was on sale and I couldn't leave it... it's babyblue... The colours are not so good, I took my camera, but the battery was empty, stupid! so a friend of mine took pictures from her cellphone: Do you think it fits? You can't really see I think, I'll try making better pictures...

I can't really tell from the photos...is it a Dr. Cook Bitless, or is it a type of sidepull? I'm definitely thinking that a very simple sidepull will be Tamarack's choice at some point. For now, I use a very light cavesson made from regular halter material, without all the hardward across the nose...the rings (three over the nose band) are just sewn in without the excess metal gear. I am thinking though, that I will want to fashion a very special bridle for him one day...something light, and soft...with just two rings on the sides. The blue looks really beautiful on your horse by the way! |

@ Karen, it is a simple normal bridle with the reins attached were you normally would put the bit. I rode bitless that way before I met Dr. Cook

OH, ok...that is the thought that I had for Tamarack's bridle one day. As long as the headstall comes with a noseband, I thought it could very easily be converted to a sidepull. Cool. If I cannot find the perfect headstall, I just thought I might get one made. |

hi you can get those nice colors too for the Cook bridles. A special order and it would be made for you they have blue, yellow, orange, green and red if i remember it well.
I have sold once a red one..but the most people like black or brown. But yes it is posible

@ Karen: Maybe some of the endurance-tack will be usefull for you?? Bridles mostly are made from Biothane or Beta. That's a polyester webbing , wich is soft and flexible. It doesn't absorb sweat and is easily cleaned. You can choose any color you want. I know a lot of endurance riders who start with a bit, and then during the day leave the bit off. They just attach their reins to the halter and ride on.
