Oh yes sure I would be so happy to share with you my horse's storie!
His name is Shogun, he was born the 2 june 1995, the same year my 2 sisters and I started horse riding. I was 13 years old, and I was dreaming to be Yakari, the little american Indian form the comics who is able to speak with all animals and ride Petit Tonnerre, the wild horse who learnd everything to Yakari. I wanted to be him! I was dreaming I could do the same, but I understood very quiclkly I wasn't like him and I couldn't ride a nude wild horse because I couldn't speak to them, but I was still curios and I wannted to understand them mind...
After 3 years of horse riding my teacher suggested to my mum to take a horse in half pension for to have less expenses with 3 riders in the family it was really expensive!
The owners of Imperia were looking for someone, and we choose her because that was a mare in who we could completely trust. She was a great mare, she learned us a lot, she was always agree to do what we wanted to do with her. She was great for to do horse-ball, a bit of jumping but not to much because she was to hot for us, she didn't stay calm and it was the same for to go for walk outside. She was very upset especially when she was alone. But she was kind-hearted, and she did everthing for give us a lot of pleasure
Unfortunatelly she was lame after 2 or 3 years I can't remember, then her owners decided to give her a rest, she was already 16 years old.
The same year we've learned that her owner wanted to sell Shogun too, her soon! Because he was too dangerous for them, he made a lots of accidents, only womans could touch him but no man.
He sent my teacher to hospital when she tryed to break-in him, he also sent the farrier to the hospital. When a man tryed to catch him he attacked!
I don't really know why, I suppose he had bad experiences with mans.
But anyway, he was the horse I wanted!!!
One day, I came back home and my mum said to me : "Shogun has been sold" When I hurt that, I felt like crying
But my mum said too : He has been sold to us! Then I was so happy that was the more beautifull day of my life!
The day after we went to put Imperia in very big meadow with her owners, we said byebye to her, she had one friend and so much space! On the way to come back we went where Shogun stayed, in a farm, and his owners tryed to put him in the track but he didn't want to go in.
First, when we open the door of his box he tryed to attack us, bit and kik. The owners said "be carfull, he is dangerous, don't stay close to him!" They didn't let him a chance to be nice. But I couldn't say "could I try?" Because I was joung and beginner, and they knew more than I (that was they said to me but not with words, just by them behaviour).
We actually bring a lot of carrots, and we tryed to put carrots in the track, he ate all the carrots but still didn't want to go in the track. So, we had to came back without our horse
2 days later, when we came to the riding center, my horse was there, I was so exited to see him, and he was nice with me.
The owner of the riding center picked him up with his track, he told us when he arrived to the riding center Shogun had broken his track.
We couldn't ride him yet because my teacher didn't want, she juged me too beginner for him, I was lissening her, because I wanted to do the right things, so we started to take lessons of longe, and then I was the first one who rode him. I was so so pride! It was very intersting for me, one of my best experience. I was just fascinated by him.
Ok now it's time to go for me, I'll tell you more next time and I will send you more photos if can.
