Looks like lots of fun :D
It's so nice to see when people wear traditional clothes for riding!
And garrocha must be great idea for riding, I had an idea to teach Avra to target a whip during riding - and to develop some bending and sideways things like this - I guess that it could be nice preparation for garrocha too!
I can't wait to see the photos of the spanish horses! :)

I am really interested in your photos, but I can not see them, I see red 'x-es'.
Am I the only one?
Regards

Yes, I see them now, thank you
Looks so great to me.
Owen looks very calm and relaxed with that stick near him.
What a trustable relationship you two have

Thanks girls!

Yes, it was touching how much he trusted me!
When you think we haven't been riding for so long really and when you think how scared and agressive he was when he came in to my life in 2003...

wow... What a great, great horse he is!!!

Super pictures, and you were so lucky with the weather! Amazing!!

Owe sure is looking very good, healthy and content and doesn't seem to mind the garrocha at all. And very brave of you to just jump in and do the first garrocha session ever straight on the cordeo, well done! :D

Now I come to think of it, it actually might be very good to practice with a garrocha every now and then because it really forces the rider to just use the cordeo with one hand and letting the 'hand-steering idea' go even more. Interesting!

So do you have your own garrocha already? 8)

@ Miriam, thank you! Indeed he seems to have enough breath now and no coughing! I am sooooo happy about that! finally.

Actually, it is not that brave of me at all. It is just that I don't like riding with a bridle and I hate riding with a bridle on Owen. It's just not right, he does not need it, it's like there is something interfering in our fine line of communication. I only put a bridle on him when I am taking an instructors course and I am so relieved when I can take it off.

I can't find a way to describe it... putting a bridle on Owen feels a lot simular than tying the hands of a very noble king or emperor... do you know what I mean?

Indeed, it is very good for gymnastisation! Excellent!
I was going to ride again last evening, my only night off this week , but it was raining really hard...
But I won't give up, this time O and I am going to start building from here.

Ralph is going to make a garrocha for me, yes!
But first the new lounge rooms of our 3 boys.

@ Makana, I do not have a video, alas. But I will describe my thought about it in Owen's diary as soon as I can.

Warm regards,

Josepha

I saw your new avatar and I imediately went for a look in the photo section to see if there was more. Fortunately there are more pictures!

Owen looks good. You two together look great! I think the garrocha is very interesting, but it looks very difficult for me. Was it? Well, even though it looks difficult it also looks like big fun!

Hahaha, that´s soooo recognizable! :) I feel in a similar way about Titum, although not as if he was a king, but as if I would tie a friend so that I can make sure in a better way that he/she does what I want and my signals come to him more clearly.

Wonderful pictures, Josepha!! :D Owen and you are really looking great. What an amazing team you are!

Thank Romy and Els :)

He is a friend for sure, one you can only dream of and I can't believe I am that fortunate to have a horse like Owen and a fiancé like Ralph!
Must have done something right in my former life!

But he is a king.. I can not explain. The nobleness of his presence just washes over me.. more and more each day.
