So I'm lizziebob (Lizzie in real life but... anyway) I live in Manchester in england and own a 14.1hh 7 year old blood bay welsh section D named Mckenzie, who has no patience for anything inedible on the ground, and no patience for anything un jumpable under saddle. I have only recently started riding bitless and find that he is much happier to be ridden now. I take him to a few small jumping events (just the occasional clear round class and popping over to pony club occasionaly just to annoy the brats on their posh show ponies) just for the sake of going somewhere new and showing the word that you don't need all these stupid gadgets and harsh bits to jump a course. He's had a very muddled past, he was bred at a welsh cob stud, sold to a farmer in herefordshire, who first broke him in, but they sold him at an auction because he didn't make the height they wanted, after that he had a very muddled year, and by the time he came to us from a dealers yard he was in a bad condition, but over the past 2 years he's really started to shine and his training has come on a bit.
EDIT: he's actually 6, i wrote 7 by accident.

Hi Lizzie!

A very warm welcome to you.

Would love to see pictures of McKenzie -- I think blood bays are spectacular.

Sounds like he lucked out finding you!

All the best,
Leigh

Hi Lizzie,
I love the picture of you and your horse walking down that trail. What a beautiful place. :f:
Hope you'll find lots of good info here. :)

Welcome, Lizzie! :)

So funny how your horse looks like my Summy, especially in the second picture. If someone had told me that he was his twin brother, I would have believed it.

I hope you will enjoy the forum and I am looking forward to reading more about you and McKenzie. :)

Warm Regards,
Romy
