Reading a little more about the Mirror Method, I think it's totally cool.
I've done an enormous amount of mirroring over the years -- lots and lots in theater and movement classes, and a bunch with my horses.
Coming from the theater tradition, though, it's been about communication and understanding and working to find no one partner as the leader -- instead working to find that magic spot where the leadership lives in the spaces between the partners.
And I've certainly been experimenting a bit with Circe and Stardust with mimicry.
But I love the idea of this being a central philosophy in teaching dogs and people to communicate. Cool stuff, I think.
