Post subject:  AND SUMMER MEETING 2014: July/August in Dresden/Germany
Well, I have good news and bad news... The bad news is that as much as I would have liked it, I'm afraid hosting this years AND summer meeting at our place will not be possible :sad:.
The reason for this is the good news though: our herd is expanding! But this time not in the form of a quadruped, but a human baby instead! :cheer: :bounce: :cheer: :bounce: :cheer: :bounce:
And since the date of birth is supposed to be at the end of July, I'm afraid we will be quite occupied around that time ;).

I'm sorry for that, but I'm sure we can find another location. Maybe at Romy's place again? Now that so many German members have joined lately?

Of course we can meet at my place again, so you can all meet Mr. Cola Baby and the others. Also the children would be delighted to have the meeting at our place again, because only Azhar would have been allowed to travel abroad. Concerning the date, I'd suggest something in late August so that Volker, Anna and the little one can come as well, if they want. I'll just check with the children's holiday plans and then we can set a date.

I'll also add a list to the first post, so everyone who wants to join us, please write here in the topic and I will add your names. :)

Oh, it would be so fabulous to come and see you all again - and Bacardy of course! It's just a bit hard for me to say how travel-ready we will be in summer. But we will definitely try to come! :cheers:

We are planning long time, to visit our family in Berlin, so maybe we can make a day trip with them to Romy ;)
But we don't know yet when we are going.
So we will see.

Concerning the date of the meeting, I think we have two and a half options. We could either do it as late as possible - in the last weekend of August - to maximize the chance that Volker and Anna can come. However, I asked my mother (who has had five babies) how realistic she thinks it will be that Anna and the baby can travel at that time, and she said she doesn't think so - not because it's impossible but because she thinks Anna won't want it by then. Therefore, the other option is that we could do it much earlier and turn it into an AND Spring Meeting (either in Austria or at my place, whatever you prefer), perhaps in late May or early June. Or we could do both. Any opinions? :f:

That is, in fact, an excellent idea Romy! Your mother is probably right that August will be too soon for Anna and me. So a very early summer date would be great.
It would be still better to do it in Dresden, I think. So if Anna doesn't feel well at the time, it's easier for her to retreat. Aside from that, we will move our horses to a new barn again in May and we don't know yet how that will work out...

Great! So what about May 30 - June 1? But I just picked that randomly, we can also shift it forwards or backwards. :)
