Thank you. It would be nice if she's interested in horses. I'd like that.

Inge, I'm not keeping track, honestly. Your good wishes are welcome and precious to me. We are, as you might imagine, somewhat deliriously in shock. We are both pretty old for a first grandchild. I'm 76 at the end of this month. Never expected to be here for a grandchild. And she is so beautiful.

Hugs,

76? You're only half way there! From the way you were talking I thought you were OLD!

(When I was a kid and read The Hobbit, I decided that I would live to be a "gross" - 144. With the proviso being that I still must be able to ride a bicycle. ;) )

oohh 76 and still going strong?? Take care of two horses, some houskeeping, gardening and so on by yourself.
You're doing great. So go for the second grandchild :D you will see it too!!
I wish i can say the same if i reach that age. i have still got a long way to go still 36 years more to go reach that age :funny:
And also handy with a computer...i dont not many old people who are active on internet writing good interesting storys.
I take care of eldery people (for the last 1,5 years now) but none of them can type or internet or something like that, even a mobilephone is for them adacadabra.
So again you'r doing GREAT!!

I remember seeing somewhere on line recently that a woman that rode until she was 104 checked out by being thrown from a young horse. Sounds good enough to me. I've not been riding much lately but am going to go back to it soon.

BICYCLE? BICYCLE? I don't need no stinkin' bicycle. My ride will be Bonnie. If she will let me. LOL

Don, this is super news, as you can see, I am also a bit late but nonetheless sincere wishes and I can understand your happiness and excitement. About the books, you can always black out the pages or just rip them out, they won't take away from the story. :)
And as for your contribution to all kinds of topics, you're sure are a thorough thinker ... remember your fb comments and love them...
