Viva La Ecolution! The passive green revolution: let's take meassures back into our own lives!How does it work?The first things you can do is look at what you can start with right away. These are not rules, these are tips that will help you stop being a part of harmful worldwide activities such as childlabour, animal abuse and polution. Be free by consuming sensible!
1. Almost everything is animal tested, ensure yourself if the products you buy are against animal testing. This has 3 large advantages. 1 it will be lost of cash flow for multinationals who systematically torture milllions of animals to death. 2. They do these tests only to see how much harmful but cheap chemicals they can put in their products without getting 'direct harm' which will cause them law suits. A logic consequence; if you buy products against animal testing, there is nothing harmful to test! 3. While thinking so much about what products you can or can not buy make you think twice before you buy something and you will start spending less money without realising it.
2. Eat less meat and if you do eat meat, check if the meat is from a local farmer. It really is the case: daily meat eating is the world's greatest polution for one. Second, people are starving because there isn't enough food. This is because it take much more grain to feed cattle and then eat them, then to just feed all the people with grain and vegetables. Hate the way animals are treated dragged around for days, beaten and butchered? What would be the solution? right :-) it's not rocket science. Try it, you'll feel free! And... the health benefits are major! Meat campaign after WOII made us believe we needed meat for our health but it is not true. This was only to encrease economics. Our ancestors hardly ate meat and they were much more healthy.
3. Look at where the products you buy come from. Why buy chicken from China in Belgium and potatoes from Spain in Scandinavia? Check if your products are local. A large polution factor is the transportation of products all over the world for the best price. It is idiotic!
4. Stop using chemicals to wash your cloths and clean your house. are you cleaning our poluting? If you do no know how we will put tips here for an eco friendly and healthy house keeping and much cheeper to boot!
5. Go eco-nomic! Maybe we are not all building a new home (but if you are, there is your chance to become free of electric, water and gass bills!) but look at what you can do now or start with soon. Catching the free water from the Heavens (called rain...), looking for sollar panels, changing to LED lights... there is so much you can do which will make you home ecofriendly and drastically reduce those energy bills. The less money you need, the more free you are!
6. Critical consuming:do you really need all those things you are buying? Often we really don't. Get rid of all the things you do not need and give them away to charity or have a garage sale. Make you house clean and tidy and your life simple.You will not feel the need to buy more stuff. Do you need something? Then check second hand stores and fix it up the way you like it! Much more satisfying then new bought 'everybody's got it stuff' and again less money needed = more freedom.
7. Trade: got special talents? we all do, explore them! do you need something, or need something done? Maybe you can trade stuff our services. that way no tax can be drawn from this interaction and it is much more fun and functional! You'll find friends this way to.
8. Share knowledge: have found good tips on all on the above our more? Books, websites, youtube movies etc. etc. share, place it here! So we can all make use of it and the start the new ecological age NOW!
