Whatever your faith, belief, view, I do hope that all will have great joy and celebration this winter solstice eve, or day, according to your location on the planet.

Friends to the south, the longest day of the year, and those with me in the northern half of our little blue sphere, the longest night.

We will see snow here tonight and I'll sit on my front porch looking at the snowy tree covered mountains around us and imagine each of you, dear AND friends, with your loved ones, equine, feline, canine, human and for a few I suspect aliens, :funny: while I toast you with my cup of hot mint tea.

Best to you all, hugs, quiet words of friendship and caring and treats to the animals.

Kate, Rio, Altea, Bonalaria, and Donald

Thank you Donald and to you too.
Here in SA I think we will be raising a beer to you in the heat. The pool is sparkling, the sun is shining with clear blue skies. My youngest is busy decorating the tree that we cut yesturday.
We won't be having turkey but chicken and steak on the braai (barbecue) and maybe a cray fish or two........and then heading to the beach for a sundowner.

Seasons greetings to all AND members from my family in SA.

Thank you Donald,
And holiday blessings to you too -

But I'd like a little less winter snow to be joyful! Our Christmas is canceled waiting upon 2 feet of snow (and high wind) now through Saturday !!

blessings be upon everybody

I have just a couple of inches and though it is cold and tiring for barn chorses and horse care and exercise it's nothing compared to what you are experiencing.

I've been following the weather out where you are, from the border down into Texas. I remember those fearsome storms. One minute a warm day, an hour later, icicles hanging from the powerlines and trees. At least that's how it was in Texas.

I'll be thinking of your and your horses, and for that matter all our dear AND friends that lie in the path of this harsh difficult weather.

When you are out feeding and caring for your beloved friends know that I'm likely to be thinking of you, as will other, I'm sure.

Stay safe, put out something hot to come back into our home to. Dress well when you must go out. And breath with your horses warm breath while you are with them. I swear, sometimes, they give me life when it would be easier to hide away. And they call to me and I go. Just as you will.

That's the blessing, that we can care so much for each other, these horses and us.

Donald
