Hello to all!

Last week I received a message from Rita Rebel from PAWS Holland, a foundation that saves stray dogs in Romania and Spain and so on. We have adopted our own 6 dogs from PAWS...

The legislation in Romania says that stray animals may not be killed immediately, they must give them a chance to a normal life. But... nevertheless, most stray animals are killed right a way, against the law.

International support is being asked to make sure that the laws are being followed and maintained.

I hope that you want to give your support to. You can sign the petition at: ... the-strays

Please send this message to as many people as possible.

This is the message of Rita:
Dear Friends,
I have just read and signed the petition: "Romania: the law that bans euthanasia and yet euthanizes the strays ".
Please take a moment to read about this important issue, and join me in signing the petition. It takes just 30 seconds, but can truly make a difference. We are trying to reach 1000 signatures - please sign here: ... the-strays
Once you have signed, you can help even more by asking your friends and family to sign as well.
Thank you! Rita ... the-strays

On behalf of the animals: thank you!!

Best wishes,
our introduction with photos:

I just signed an urgent petition calling on the Chinese government to respect human rights in Tibet and dialogue with the Dalai Lama. This is really important, and I thought you might want to take action: ... _tf_sign=1

After decades of repression, the Tibetans are sending out a global cry for change. Unrest is spreading across Tibet and neighbouring regions, and the Chinese regime is right now making a crucial choice between escalating repression or dialogue.

President Hu Jintao needs to hear that "Made in China" exports and the upcoming Olympics in Beijing will have the support of the world's people only if he chooses dialogue. But it will take an avalanche of global people power to get his attention. Click below to sign the petition--in just 7 days, the campaign is over half way to the goal of 2 million signatures! ... _tf_sign=1

Thank you so much for your help.

There is a petition to stop hyperflexion in dressage

This is an email I received from a friend this morning:
Look at the video on this link to see what all the fuss is about, then please sign the petition. ... 335&page=1

Hi,I wanted to draw your attention to this important petition that I recently signed:"Request FEI to Ban Hyperflexion in Competition" I really think this is an important cause, and I'd like to encourage you to add your signature, too. It's free and takes less than a minute of your time. Thanks!

-an Early Day Motion to go before Parliament asking for a thorough investigation of racehorse breeding, injuries, etc etc - there's a way to ask your MP to endorse it, which people might be interested in taking up.

If the above link is no good, it's all on the Animal Aid website.
Apologies if this is old hat to UK residents.
