Dearest friends,

I have indeed a very happy and exciting as well as a very sad at the same time news to share. Today I got my offer from Rotterdam Universty where I will start my studies in January 2010. I am very excited, I worked very hard to get in, but I am also very sad because that means the time has come when I will have to part from my dearest Viola. I am happy though that from now on she will never have to be ridden in a bit again and the girl that will rent her onwards seems to be intrested in NHM and loves animals. If I would have the money I would take her with me, but I dont want to appear in the position that if she gets sick I wont have enough money to pay the vet, so I am not risking her well being. I have to let her go. I have anohter 2 months at least, and I will devote them to being with her.

But I cant physically be without horses. So my question to you , my friends, would be - is thre anyone not far away from Rotterdam, who can give me an opportunity to at least be with horses some occasional Sunday. I need horses like air andI dont want to go to riding schools, where horses might be mistreated, it physically hurts me :( Is there anyone out there, I can help a bit, just if I can bearound them, communicate, maybe even play I will be the happiest person. If anyone can help, please contact me or send me a PM.

thank you
Lidia

Congratulations on your acceptance to Rotterdam University. :yeah:
Viola has an owner who obviously cares for her happiness and wants for her to be active both physically and mentally, and best of all approves of Viola bitless.
Of course, you will keep her friendship and see her when you have holidays at home with your family.
Hope you find a horse to have fun with at University, but I expect once you arrive there you will make friends and soon find out who keeps horses close by that are happy to allow interactive liberty play with their horses. Good luck xx

Susie  this is what I love about you, you are so positive and thank u :) I am thrilled myself.

I hope that could and will be the case but taking into consideration that there are only 3% locals at my course and 97% international, their horses will be too far away :))) I guess I will have to wonder around Rotterdam seeking for horses :D NEver hurts to ask here, maybe someone is nearby, the world is so small. Girls in Belgium are also 2 hours away by train :)

congrats! :applause: 8)

Our home, shop & Academy is a little under 2 hour away from Rotterdam so visiting us our taking a course at our place would be possible :)

Also I teach clinics in Ijmuiden 2 times a year which is 50 minutes away from Rotterdam, so maybe we could meet up some time there :)

Looking forward to seeing you perhaps! 8)

Hey!

I'm not really really far from rotterdam... I believe by train from station to station would be less then an hour! And my horse is like next to the station! So feel free to visit Ruphina and me !

oh guys you are all so lovely!!! thank you. thank you. thank you!

I hear from previous year, MBA is really tough at RSM so no vacations and a lot of work, but I am sure Sunday will be off, so a perfect get away to meet some of your fantastic horses and yourselves. I am thrilled, I hope that will also help me to reduce the sadness about leaving Viola as well switch my mind off things if they get too crazy  :friends: thanks yet again!

ok guys, here I am settling in Rotterdam but desperately missing horses. Longing for a sunday out , being around horses :) Any people out there willing to give me that opportunity? :) Saturday or Sunday. I miss Viola like crazy :(((

p.s. Josepha, when do you have courses planned? Since I am currently thinking of what I am going to do post MBA and I would somewhere in future love to connect my passion for horses with business, perhaps we culd meet up for some networking one day, I would love to hear ur experience on that one.

best,

Lidia :f:

Hi Lidia,

I only see this post now - I have been following your post on Viola as you know.
Congrats with the studies - I was wondering why you had to leave her behind.

I live not far away from Leuven/Brussels.
It is in Belgium, but I guess by train it should not be too difficult to come over?
You are very welcome to come over to us if you wish?
I can pick you up at the train station and we can go to see my beautiful little herd.
You can stay overnight if you don't mind it being a bit basic... ;)

Just let me know: I will send you a pm too!

In any case: enjoy your time and studies!

Oh Lidia, when you visit AnneMarie´s herd, please give a big hug to cute little Billy and the fluffy one from me!

So nice that you will see horses again. Of course you are invited to come here anytime, but I guess that´s a bit far for you. ;)
