The Art of Natural Dressage

I thought my neighbour girl Nora deserved her own picture thread, so I started one and I will update it until she is old enough to participate in the forum herself.

These are two pictures from last weekend, Nora is ten years old at the moment.

Today's picture by Nora - a little foal.

Nora seems to be inspired by creatively minded, independent, dancing horses...could these fabulous creatures exist in Romy's field?

I love also to draw horses and portaits. My last horse which I had drawed with acrylic paint looks like an friesian horse. I will be taking a photo of it when I am at home.

Here is the picture of which I spoke yesterday. It was very difficult to draw it, because it´s very close...

Thank you! My birthday was on Tuesday and I was lucky to spend it with Volker, Anna, Mucki and Lily.

I love all of Nora's pictures, but the last one is just so special. How the mother is curled around her foal as if she wanted to make sure to always protect him, and him having that cheeky look as if he had great plans to conquer the world...

Today I drew my first picture again, because I wanted see the difference and it´s very different, I think.
The head looks like a little fairy and the ears are the wings. And it looks like a mare for our little Titum.

The head looks like a banana. The spot next to the right leg doesn´t belong to the picture.

It was my first attempt ,what Romy often drew.

This picture was very difficult to draw, because it´s at the ground.


This picture , Romy says, is very nice. I think the legs at the bottom are bad...

Today I drew another picture again. I know, the horse at right side whose legs at the bottom are too little. Now we want to go at the pasture and drawing horses (or other things) with the horses.

Really nice, Nora! Looking a bit like Pia and her twin. Nelly has drawed horse pictures too today.
At one our next visits I desperately want to draw with you girls! I also like that very much!

Sooo funny, Lena, we were talking about just that a few minutes ago... Looking forward to it very much, especially now that we have great new paper and pencils. So let's hope for another rainy day!

Nora, those pictures are great! I love the rearing ones especially!
And don't worry about certain details not being correct length or size - I think that's not what I would look for in a drawing. But what you capture really nice is the expression of the horses - the heads and faces are always great, as well as the general energy from the horses is very much alive...

I think this picture will be one, that I will often draw like Romy and her arabian.

That´s a new picture of me. First I wanted to draw a Friesian (I love Friesians), but it went wrong and the dignity of a Friesian is inviolable (we heard a song "the dignity of a pig is inviolable" by Reinhard Mey). I think you can see the erase lines of the horse head.



That´s another picture of today. Romy was right, she said: "it´s fun to draw this picture" and... I had much fun.

I really like all of them, but I think the horse rolling on the ground and the mare with her foal are really outstanding!

Yesterday I drew a new picture. I said I will draw it again, because it's fun. I think the difference to the first and this is very "strong".


Romy had to work and I didn't know what I should to do. I saw Pia's ball and we had much "bio" packets. Then my idea was to make a "human" .

It is hardly to know your drawings from Romy's, because they resembles a lot in their style.

Yesterday I and Nelly drawed on the pasture. Pia wanted to and put her muzzle on our paper. I wanted to paint it and it has to go quick, because she didn't keep still for a long time. Well, here's my picture.

New picture of me. I tried to draw Pipo but it looks like Geronimo because of the wide muzzle.

Not a picture this time but an artwork by Nora and Azhar.







In the evening we all sat in there and made a fire, and the children melted sugar, cinnamon and spruce needles in a pan to make bonbons. Even the ponies fit in, but the children want them to stay outside because they are destroying everything, trying to rub on the branches and eat them.

All what a pasture-child-heart needs in the wilderness. Looks like a warmly comfortable home.
I absolutely want to take a look of. Please don't burn the house!

Booooah and wow I just like the big tent... Inside it looks beautiful. I see that you make a fire in the tent. I would like to see that. Maybe next week...

First time with colours and brush. Here are my results.

Nora , that looks spectacular I love the gradient of colour , beautiful

Today we went for a walk and Baca bit a lot and when you looked behind you you could just see his muzzle. As we were at home Romy talked to me "please draw Baca for me... and don't forget the antenna!" I thought on this walk and that's my result.
