Edit by Romy: I have removed the previous posts because the images were gone, displaying only a white box saying that the image had been moved or deleted.

Not a drawing or painting but still a little work of art: Today Lena gave me one of the nicest birthday presents I ever got - my pasture! :) Thank you ever so much, sweetie!

The Thanks especially deserves Nelly; she had the idea to rejoice Romy to her birthday by doing this. :f:

Not painted, just created... ;)

Romy has spend this old great zinc tub yesterday. I am so thankful and happy about it, because now finally could built my own herb garden. I think, it's fits perfectly!

The small on the left side is Nelly's tiny herb garden with wild mint and chives. Cress, dill and chamomile has she sowed, so it will take a little longer before she can pick her own herbs.

Lovely! I will always water my hay in the small plastic tub with pleasure now, knowing that the big zinc one is of so much better use at your place. :)

And thanks again for being such a great help with the pasture building today... and such a great friend in general.

Vacation in the Netherlands can be so inspiring... :sun: Today we get our camera back from our friends so that now I can post my drawing of a brown flour muzzle. Nelly showed me her favourite picture in her horse book and begged me drawing this. So here my attempts to fulfill her wish:

(Well, the flour is missing...)

My very first pastel painting, not yet finished, but nearly...
(In the original it looks much more colorfully as you can see here at these photo.)

Oh, well done! Don't ever show this picture to Lily - she might actually fall in love! :funny:

Oh, little Mr. Cola! :) Very nice, and I especially love that your drawing style looks so much more differentiated in this picture, using the spectrum of the pencil in a more bold way and in that way setting more focus. Whenever I look at your drawing, my gaze automatically gets drawn to that hindleg and tail area, which for me is the most interesting part of the drawing. Great! :f:

Thank you very much, Romy! :f:

Here, at home, I had to adjust some details at this drawing. Now the little one looks like I see him: :bounce:

Ah, looks like you have re-inserted the wischi-waschi and carefulness, and eliminated the clarity. :funny: But that's fine, I still have the first version to look at.

P.S.: Now I had nothing to do here at work as well (we are having a party and I wanted a break from that), so I have photoshopped the eye a bit further down in the Cola's face and increased the contrast. And yes, I know, I am not supposed to mess around in an artist's works - but it was fun. :funny:
