Very, very cute indeed - an what a achievement to do such controlled, systematic training with a Shetland pony. Just great! :) :f:

You mean it is harder with a shetland pony?
She´s indeed doing lovely with her horses. I was wondering - she might be here on the forum, she´s doing very ANDish stuff as it seems ;).

I can only speak about the few Shetland ponies that I know: They are so filled with their own ideas and make things up all the time, so I guess it would be a challenging task to work with them in a very systematic way. Whereas with Titum and Summy it would also be hard for me to train as systematically as the person in the video seems to do it, with Pia this would be totally impossible... at least for me.

But then of course I don't know anything about her training, that's just the idea I got from this lovely video.

If she is on the forum, she has not written here until now. But Josepha knows her, I think.

Whahaa!!! Volker, do you know any shetland ponies? They are a completely different species! I do not want any for it is to much to handle for me :green:

I never had the pleasure to work with one :), but by the looks of it, I´ll have to get one sooner or later. I simply adore their character and energy :thumleft:.
Lily is very much like that - emanating energy from every hair that you can feel it on your skin. Very special! 8) But definitely not the one to work systematically with ;).

So far I never wanted to accept that character of a horse is defined by the breed. But I have to admit in our case all the prejudices were confirmed. Mucki is the prototypal Lipizzaner and Lily just as they always described Welsh-Cobs to us.

But when you know how it works it become easy, but you have to find the right entery code.
