Jo, they used to say that a great way to warm up to do something is to do some stretching, but I've been told recently that one should warm the horse's muscles up before stretching. So maybe try some running around...good foreard walking and some trotting, then try a stretch and see the result is any different?

Hey thanks Sue!!

She's got some great 'try'! And this obstacle stuff is really helpful for horses!! And yes, confidence is one of the best!!

Of course I knew that when I trained agility dogs but I am seeing lots of benefits come out of theses exercises for Lucy and Jack too!!

Thanks Lasuria and Inge!!!

This exercise is so good for my big girl!!! She always starts the game herself so I think she likes it too!!

Thanks Brenda and Karen,

I always think movement is best first and have often been perplexed by the idea of heavy stretches before runners run. Seems like the wrong way round to me. But she has been so over enthusiastic about this stuff that I have let her, up to this point, lead the way. She is more reluctant to 'move forwards' than do the stationary stuff so I have been keeping her motivation up by following her lead. Maybe its time to insist a bit!!!!!

Brenda isn't here much any more  but I wanted to share one of her new videos. She has a new member of her little herd, "Cisco" Of course this is a new and different Cisco.

He is beautiful. The video is beautiful. The music is beautiful.

So on behalf of Brenda, please everyone, meet Cisco, and prepare to be moved...
