Yesterday Nele came over and rode Beau. She normally rides in a riding school and isn't used to horses reacting to your aids, so she is always a bit worried when she gets to ride Beau. But yesterday she felt brave and together with Beau she trield some yielding exercises, they may not be perfect , but I love the way they work together...
I was so proud of them that I made a little film about it ;)

Nice! I think it's always interesting when someone else is working with my own horse - such a good opportunity to watch and learn...

Why does it worry her exactly? Isn't it nice for her to feel the difference?

Wow Beau is looking so good. I love the way he is carrying himself with the rider and sooooo relaxed. He really seemed to be listening and trying to figure out what she wanted. :applause:
I especially liked the way the rider used the corner to set him up so nicely to just follow through whilst keeping the bend. Great vid! :D You should be proud!!! :f:

She is afraid of doing something wrong. Beau reacts to everything she asks in her body and she doesn't really know what she is doing because the horses in the riding school just don't react. She doesn't 'feel' herself very good and so she never knows what will happen. Sometimes he starts doing spanish trot or canter and she doesn't know what she did, so that is a bit scary for her. He started doing a sideways movement she didn't understand so she went with it and started to notice what she needed to do for him to put certain body parts in certain positions and then it became fun...

They are truely working together and that's so great...

big hugs
Barbara
