Hey, I take Centered Riding lessons too, and the lessons just make sooooooo much sense!!!! I love it that they break everyhting down into tiny parts, just like I train my naimals...duh! What a concept!!! Not that I'm a great rider but at least after a lesson it is very clear to me the pieces I need to work on!

Anyway you and Beau look great! Keep the videos coming!!!

Hi :)

Beau is really looking for his balance and finds it now and then... when doing so he stretches his opperline beautiful!

He makes really nice turns too :)
Those few that are a bit stiff are those where you forget to turn you pelvis :)

Well like alle bridles, saddles, bits etc. and all things in life for that matter...What works for one does not have to work for an other.
So if you have not tried our good Dr. Cook, you do not know how it would work... ;)

I personally think the Dr. Cook is the best bridle for people who just stopped riding with a bit.

Hey Barbara,

very nice videos! :) Wow, that canter looks great already :ieks: :) and so great that you are trusting him to ride bridleless now. I am looking forward to seeing more videos of you two and maybe visiting you when I am in Belgium next time. :smile:

hi, this is a wonderful diary. i love it. congratulations on your trust coming back. it is a great moment. these videos show such a lovely relationship, it is really beautiful :love: :love: :love: :love: i am going to watch them again later and enjoy them more thoroughly, but even just a quick glimpse, i could not look away, i loved it! :D :D cant wait to see more and more :applause:

Hey Barbara!

Nice videos!

Love the canter work! Nice and up, collected?

I used similar body cues when I started with Lucy, I said 'Reeaadddy" and sort of swooped forward and raised my hand upwards, c/t when she took even just the lead, etc. And like you, reinforced quality not quantity. Tho now I have to work on duration more....

Nice jambettes too, and while riding! Wow!

Oh Romy I would LOVE it if you could find the time to visit... it would be so wonderful! Beau loves people admiring him ;)

Beau is a great teacher for me, he will show me all the things I never listenend to with all the other horses and I hugely respect him for that.

@ Brenda: I find Beau really understands the hand raising cue and I try to let him shift his weight back so he can have a better take off :)

Ow and I don't ride anymore ;) I plan on dancing :D

Yes! Yes!! That's the key I think!

The weight shift to the hind quarters for take off!! Then you get the nice up in the front??

We love training together, he gives me so much effort... and I try to help him use his body better.
Our canter is sometimes good and sometimes not, he does need a LOT of stretching when exercising canter, otherwise he is too tense.

I'm so proud of him :D
