Can't watch the video at work but in the pictures they are simple ADORABLE  I love Blacky's coat especially. It's funny how each one's hair is different, isn't it?

It is! So funny that you noticed Blacky's hair too!
He has a really long and heavy coat, where Sjors has a quite short and upright wintercoat, like little spikes. And it's so hilarious; when it's windy you can see the wind blowing through Sjors' mane and through Blacky's bellyhair. :funny:

Wonderful! :applause:
They look really terrific - and well trained too! Adorable! The way they move is so nice, I think you really helped them to some very special grace...
But they must be sweating in their coats. They still have lots of it :ieks: - which certainly makes them cute :D.

I think they must be quite hot indeed, especially on warmer days. But the strange thing is that especially shetlands apparently are known for the fact that they keep their winter coat for a long time. Blacky and Sjors sometimes shed the last long hairs even in may/june and I was quite worried about that, but then I heard that most shetlands do, especially if the nights stay coldish / there are some rainy days, then they seem to play at safe and stay prepared for the next ice age in full summer. 8)

Speedy is shedding his winter coat quite fast now, although he too seems somewhat hot during training occasionally. Last training sessions every time we quit he had sweaty ears! :funny: His brains are overheating! Poor pony, apparently I make him think too much. :green:
