The last one I didn't like. Of course the camera-angle and the music are great, but I hate to see how he uses the bits of these horses to keep his own balance. For me there's no real beauty to be seen... But then compare it to Jean Francois Pignon in your second link, and I can only admire that man more, even though he too still trains with bits.

Indeed, he seems to have so much talent... why waste it by doing these kind of things?

Probably because he learnded like that as most of people (like me, not you?). But we should tell him for the bitless bridle, I am sure he will think about that. I found that a bit violent too, but you can see it is not because he uses bits that his horses don't trust him, they have a very good relationship and I think it is the more important thing!
He probably doesn't know what a bit can do in horse's mouth as me severals weeks ago. But please don't blam him for that...

I don't blame him. :) I think that he already knows that you can do the same things without bits or bridles (he must have seen Pignon too, if not live than on video!) but of course it takes a lot of time (and courage!) to make such fundamental changes. Especially when you're a showrider and you need to be able to make your horses perform flashy stunts. But going to a bitless bridle would be a huge positive change for hos horses already, and wouldn't need to take so much time for him to do either. Maybe that will be for the future?

I have recently got this video in my emailbox from a person I know.
I love the place that he lives, I would be forever on the beach with my horse :D

I meet him when he was young and he wasn't tender with his horses. Hand very strong and stricly. But i meet him again this year at "cadre noir de saumur, printemps des écuyers" and he changed. It's plaisant to see, it's a good thing, everyone coult be change.
