We can just make new clips ;) and leave the unsafe out ;) that's easier than the *&*^$@*&^ subtitles ;)
Or add a 'don't do this but do this' section ;)

No, I think it would be a great idea to have both wrongs and rights in the exercise-teaching videos! Just as in the haute ecole video Blacky sometimes does a terre a terre with his hindfeet walking instead of jumping: that's 'wrong' 8) and the subtitles do say so if I'm correct.

I also have a very ugly piaffe and pesade of Sjors in the video fragments - when we have better ones we can combine them in videos on those movements and show the progress in time - or how our movements influence our horses'.

No, you can ask them already of course in the groundwork section!
Either in a topic that's already running on that exercise, or by making a new topic. Questions should be answered (and I'm much too slow to be waited for...) :D

I do agree that those scenes have a good learning effect. I would also keep them, but not even call them wrong. It is a learning process shown.
It is great to see how Evita follows the body language. The subtitles are helping to understand what goes on. If you then can add how Evita stays in place, when you do not move backwards, then one can understand even better how the body language works.

I like the lateral work videos most, as I have not seen such in any other liberty work so far and those are so important for the horse. :applause:

They are brilliant. A wonderful learning resource. Beautifully shown. With training in mind... the process unfolds rather than a final finished piece. The different horses and people training embellish it further. Its all good!

You gurls are unbelievably generous and inspiring.

Thank you for all your hard work and efforts.

Brill!

xx

Really good job, girls! This videos are such a great work. Helpful and simple so anybody can understand it. It is really nice to have such material because people don't believe it 'till they see a video or something.

I can't express how greatful I am! Please, do more videos if it's not to much asked. They are a lot of help.

VERY nice gals!!! What a good idea!

I have tons of videos of Lucy's groundwork, and now her early riding, not sure what you are looking for???? I have used targeting for almost everything I have trained so far so maybe that would be a different training angle???

Thanks again!

Brenda

Everything is welcome, Brenda! So if you want to help, just send us the movies you like best of working at liberty/with codeo (preferably ;) ) on a dvd and I'll watch them :D and cut them in little pieces so that we can use them in the videos.

We would love to have more video material of collected horses at liberty, but anything is welcome. Just pm me for my address and you might find yourself online pretty soon. ;)
It would be great to have even more different horses in the videos!

I've placed the four movies in the four groundwork topics that are on these exercises, and marked the topic titles with +movie!. 8)
(and hastily made a topic on the haute ecole exercises as I realised that we did't have one of those yet!  )

So if there are questions on what's happening in the movies, they are welcome both here and in those topics.

I thought this one deserved it's own topic so that it won't drown in the long AND movie topic, ;) but I'll add a link to it in the first post over there too.

And I think Unico really is the star in the video!
