Welcome dear horse friend!

I. Please first read our F.A.Q. as most new comers ask the questions which are already answered here.

II. When entering your AND journey, please intrudoce yourself here:
Introduction

III. Starting AND
As most newcomers ask the same question I try to answer them here. So please first read this post before you start.

1. To start AND please go to the various exercises in the groundwork section for establishing your (new) relationship with your horse and empowering his body and mind.
Also find here your explanation and practical examples of gymnastisation for preparing him as a healthy, happy and powerfull mount (If you should wish so).
A horse is not made to be ridden and riding without the proper preparation is harmfull to him.
These are the exercises that will help your horse to achieve enough strenth and flexibility to carry his rider as safe for his body as possible:
The Groundworksection
As you can see, the exercises are numbered, but you are of course free to start with any exercise you and your horse desire (especially the last thing is what counts here).

2. If you have questions about your groundwork please ask them in the 'Groundwork Questions' section which you find here.
Groundwork Questions

With the groundwork you will build communication and your horse wil gain a strong and supple body that will make it less difficult for him to carry you, so:

3. To start riding the AND way (Natural Academic Riding Art) please follow this link to our riding forum.
We advise you first to read the 5 step plan.
Please read through the various subject to make sure if your arising question(s) might not have been asked before.

The answer to the most asked question 'How to achieve collection without bridle/bit' is in fact the same answer as 'with bridle/bit'.
The answer is the gymnastic groundwork to strengthen and supple your horse and for riding 'the 5 step plan.

4. When you started your AND journey you can start your own diary to share and organise your thoughts in the daily training section (members only).

Happy travelling!
